LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The latest FBI reports show hate crimes in the U.S. remain high and the effects of racism are so bad that many cities have declared it a public health crisis. A virtual TED Talk event featuring a local leader will tackle that discrimination head on.

University of Wisconsin-La Crosse alum and founding member of the La Crosse Interfaith Shoulder to Shoulder Network, Wale Elegbede, is hosting a virtual TED Talk on racism and islamophobia. He says progress made in La Crosse on these issues could be used as a model around the world…..
